Welcome
to the School of Religion website. As you will
discover while browsing our site, the School of
Religion is a busy place. Over 600 majors are
taking courses from over 25 full-time professors
in the School of Religion . We are serious about
training women and men in ministry for the 21st
century. To do so, we believe that students need
to know something about the culture that they
will serve as well as the Scriptures that offer
a basis for their purpose of ministry.
Consequently, majors in the School of Religion
may take liberal arts courses, biblical and
theological studies, philosophy, languages (both
biblical and non-biblical), cultural studies,
and courses that teach practical ministerial
skills. To minister to others in today’s complex
world requires more preparation and skill than
ever before. We are attempting to prepare
students for just that.We also believe that ministry today requires
reliance upon the Holy Spirit. It is our hope
that through our classes, various ministry
clubs, overseas opportunities for visit and
service, and a host of other occasions, students
will leave Lee University with a balance of mind
and heart, intellectual acumen and spiritual
fervor, ready to serve God and humankind.
If you’re interested in finding out more about
